This gorgeous vintage handwoven Moroccan Wedding Blanket was originally made as part of a dowry and used for additional warmth in the cold Atlas Mountains. They were usually made by the mother of the bride and her female relatives and was worn tied around her neck on the wedding day.
Features rows of tufted fringe with silver discs to catch the light. Fringe detail on each end and original ties to drape around the shoulders.
This would be fabulous used as a throw over a sofa or bed, or has a great impact displayed on the wall.
Vintage from circa 1970’s these wedding blankets are getting harder to source due to decreasing artisans.
